Caroline’s #1 Sunday Times best-seller, INVISIBLE WOMEN: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men (Chatto & Windus, Abrams, 2019), highlights the systematic biases behind the data and assumptions impacting our everyday lives. It has sold over a million copies, has been translated into over 30 languages, and won the 2019 Royal Society Science Book Prize, the 2019 Financial Times Business Book of the Year Award, and the 2019 Books Are My Bag Readers Choice Award.

Caroline herself was the winner of the 2025 inaugural Unwin Award, given to authors whose work is considered to have made a contribution to the world. She was also the recipient of Finland’s Hän Honour in 2020 to recognise her global contributions to inclusivity, was named OBE in the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours, and holds honorary doctorates from the University of Lincoln, the University of Westminster and The Open University. She is currently working on a new book about women and fertility, and writes a regular newsletter that goes out to 65,000 subscribers.

Caroline’s notable campaign work includes getting a female historical figure on Bank of England banknotes; getting Twitter to introduce a “report abuse” button on tweets; getting the first statue of a woman (Millicent Fawcett) in Parliament Square.
